About Child Care Connection NS

Child Care Connection Nova Scotia (CCCNS) is a non profit community based development organization, incorporated under the Nova Scotia Societies Act. Since its founding 1989, CCCNS has developed an infrastructure to provide support and resources to early childhood practitioners and others interested in quality care in Nova Scotia. This infrastructure is funded through our own initiatives such as income from events, advertising sales and product and publication sales; project contracts; and the Nova Scotia Department of Community Services, each contributing roughly one half of the income required to cover core costs.

Child Care Connection Nova Scotia believes that investments in children will be maximized through recognizing, valuing and supporting the development of an effective early childhood community in Nova Scotia.

• There will be a comprehensive, coordinated early childhood community that maximizes resources,
• Early childhood practitioners in Nova Scotia will be self confident, skilled and professional, and
• There will be a favourable public image of early childhood practice.

CCCNS is dedicated to developing this community, and by supporting child care practitioners we affect the quality of care provided to children.

A report to stakeholders is published annually and distributed to our clients and others with an interest in quality child care.
