Recognition
The Early Childhood Learning and Care(ECLC) Awards of Excellence for Practice and Programs honour the accomplishments and dedication of exceptional early learning and care practtioners and programs. There will be one award for each category.
- The ECLC Award of Excellence for Practice:
This honour will be awarded to a child care practitioner (centre or program administrator or ECE) working in the Nova Scotia child care sector who consistently demonstrates best practices in their care of young children and an outstanding dedication to the children they care for & to the early learning and care field.
- The ECLC Award of Excellence for Program :
This honour will be awarded to a licensed Nova Scotia early childhood learning and care program (centre based or family child care programs) that provides outstanding and high quality care to the children enrolled in the program.
To celebrate our 20th anniversary, CCCNS has instituted the Early Childhood Care and Education 20+ Service Award to recognize child care programs which have provided child care services to children and families for twenty or more years. Programs are presented with a certificate at the annual conference and their stories are distributed to conference participants and the child care sector.
The Caring At Work Awards event is a dinner and award ceremony for members of the child care community across Nova Scotia. Child care practitioners are nominated by their peers for their exceptional contribution to the child care sector and to the children of Nova Scotia. Nominees are awarded Caring At Work pins, certificates and prizes. Child care programs and organizations are encouraged to nominate colleagues and members. It's a great way to show someone you appreciate all that they do, and it's also a time for all child care practitioners to pat themselves on the back.
