Borrowing Guidelines
- Child Care Connection is only able to lend resources from the resource library to individuals residing in Atlantic Canada.
- Before borrowing any items, it is necessary to fill out an Application for Borrowing Privileges. This application can be downloaded from this web site with Adobe Reader, or you can contact Child Care Connection to receive an application via fax or mail. Contact our office by phone at or (Atlantic Canada) or by e-mail at . Allow one week for application processing.
- Resources may be borrowed for a period of two weeks in the Halifax Regional Municipality (HRM) and for a period of three weeks outside the HRM.
- Borrowing is limited to 3 resources at one time.
- All resources that are borrowed must be recorded in the lending binder. If you are visiting the office to borrow resources, please have a staff member assist you.
- Journals, newsletters and reference materials can only be accessed on-site. When permitted by the publisher, photocopying can be done at a nominal fee. It is the borrower's responsibility to ensure the publication permits photocopying.
- Audio visual materials may be viewed on-site or borrowed overnight, in the HRM, and for up to two weeks outside the Halifax area.
- Resources not returned on time will be subject to a fine.
- The Borrower will be invoiced for the replacement cost for any lost or damaged resources borrowed.
